A rare early archival Sonia Rykiel plissé scarf from the house’s inscription-label period, designed on an oversized scale with a richly textured pleated finish.

Rendered in warm copper, bronze and soft gold tones, the fine plissé construction gives the scarf exceptional movement and dimension. Its generous proportions allow it to be worn traditionally as a scarf or draped expansively over the shoulders as a stole.

Dating from Sonia Rykiel’s earlier inscription-label period, the piece is a beautiful example of the designer’s longstanding exploration of colour, texture and movement.
